bowel cancer

Let’s immediately weed out the worst – then it will be easier. Moreover, for most of us, this thought comes to mind first: the problem is much and persistently reminded from everywhere. Bloating, constipation and pain in this disease occur already at a fairly late stage and are associated with tumor growth. It blocks the intestinal lumen and prevents the movement of food through it. If you are over 45 years old, it is better not to wait for such symptoms, but to undergo a colonoscopy as a screening procedure every 3-5 years. Then you will almost certainly be sure that even if suspicious symptoms appear, then this is probably not cancer, but something easily solved. For example:

Aerophagia

It’s simple: the stomach swells because you swallow air. Therefore, you feel bloating and heaviness (bursting) in the stomach much earlier than saturation. This bad feeling, when you still really want to eat, but you can’t eat at all, is usually accompanied by a burp: the air is light, and it’s easier for it to leave you through the top, and not through the bottom. There are many reasons for aerophagia. The most common of them:

  • eating on the go or active conversations while eating;
  • smoking: some people in a strange way do not inhale, but swallow smoke, while other smokers, due to the increased activity of the salivary glands, swallow a lot of air in the process of eating;
  • difficult nasal breathing;
  • malocclusion.

Accordingly, aerophagia is treated by correcting eating behavior and eliminating provoking factors. But if it is not treated, then constant belching will soon lead to a weakening of the sphincter between the stomach and esophagus – and then heartburn will also be added to your troubles.

irritable bowel syndrome

This is perhaps the most common of all intestinal problems – literally every fifth earthling faces it. That is, about everyone living in a big city. And every second of them, faced with a set of “constipation / diarrhea, bloating, pain”, immediately thinks about the worst. In fact, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of those diseases that are definitely “from the nerves”. And the more you worry, being afraid to go to the doctor, the more symptoms appear.

The fact is that the mobility of the intestine is provided by smooth muscle cells, which alternately contract and relax. When the cell has contracted and cannot relax for a long time, this is a spasm. It usually happens when you are nervous. If you are nervous all the time, then intestinal cramps gradually become a familiar, almost background phenomenon.

As a result, the rhythm of bowel movement is disturbed, the contents either linger in the body or are removed from it too quickly – constipation alternates with diarrhea. Improper movement of the food bolus in the intestine causes fermentation processes and, as a result, bloating and gas.

Treatment of IBS requires changes in eating habits and rhythm of life, improvement of the emotional state. If you do everything right, then within one to two years you can completely get rid of unpleasant symptoms. At this time, the doctor will help you choose a treatment program (sedatives, antispasmodics, laxatives, fixatives). The task of treatment is to teach the intestines to work correctly or not to respond to stress, but to move food in the right rhythm and always in the same direction. The list of drugs recommended for the treatment of IBS includes a drug developed by French scientists – Duspatalin® 135 mg. Since its development, about 233 million patients have received the drug.

Duspatalin® 135 mg is interesting in that it works against a complex of symptoms. A single dose of the drug relieves pain, and during a course of treatment (at least 14 days), Duspatalin® 135 mg restores bowel function. This allows you to control other symptoms of IBS: diarrhea or constipation, bloating.

lactase deficiency

The condition when a person, for various reasons, lacks the enzyme lactase, which breaks down lactose (milk sugar) into glucose and galactose, is called lactase deficiency. It can be congenital or acquired. The first form manifests itself in children from the first days of life and, fortunately, is rare, the second can develop in adulthood. Bloating can be caused simultaneously by swelling of the intestinal mucosa and fermentation of dairy products, for the processing of which the body cannot allocate the necessary substances. The only reliable way of treatment in this case is the complete rejection of milk and dairy products.

celiac disease

Celiac disease is an intolerance to gluten, a protein in cereals. When gluten enters the body, the small intestine becomes inflamed, nutrients are not absorbed – because of this, an unpleasant combination (not even alternation) of constipation and diarrhea is possible: the stool is liquid, but due to intestinal edema, it may not immediately “break through to the exit”. All this is accompanied by pain and fermentation. As in the case of lactase deficiency, the only effective treatment is the complete rejection of “traumatic” foods.

As you can see, most of the “dangerous” symptoms are removed quite easily and do not pose a serious threat to life and health. Still, the best way to fight your fears is to start with a visit to the doctor.
