Until quite recently, we did not even think that such an abundance of dried fruits, which is observed today on the shelves of our stores, is generally possible – dried apricots, apricots, figs, sultanas, raisins, prunes, dates … Therefore, it is worth talking a little about what is useful for us these delicious sweet fruits are dried, but very affordable. And they are famous primarily for their rich content of various organic acids and trace elements. But first things first.

Dried apricots and apricots, for example, have a large amount of such a useful substance for the body as potassium.. In addition to it, dried fruits also contain organic acids, and vitamins, and carotene, and phosphorus, and calcium, and iron. In addition, soaked dried apricots (about 100-150 g per day) perfectly cleanse the intestines of toxins and normalize its function with a tendency to both diarrhea and constipation. Prunes work the same way.

We offer you such a popular folk recipe, which doctors agree with, to strengthen immunity and cleanse the body: 200 g of dried apricots, 200 g of prunes, 100 g of peeled walnuts, pass through a meat grinder. Add 2 tbsp. l. honey and mix well. The resulting mass should be stored in the refrigerator and consumed 2 tbsp. l. in the morning and before bed. For people suffering from constipation, it is recommended to add another 50 g of wheat bran to this mixture.

But figs (including dried ones) are very useful for all diseases of the cardiovascular system, palpitations, bronchial asthma, a tendency to thrombosis, anemia. For colds, dry coughs and whooping cough, you can prepare such an effective folk remedy: 4-5 pieces of dried figs are poured into 1 cup of boiling milk, allowed to cool, then rubbed. Take this mixture 1/2 cup 2-4 times a day in a warm form. In addition, to improve complexion and get rid of painful pallor, traditional medicine also advises eating dried figs for food.

The most common type of dried fruit we have is raisin. It is especially valued for its high potassium content.. The use of raisins strengthens the lungs, heart, nervous system. Raisins must be in the daily diet of those suffering from cardiac arrhythmia, hypertension, and it is especially necessary for people taking diuretics.

It is clear that these sweet dry fruits are very tasty, and you want to eat them indefinitely. But here you should be aware of some features. First, keep in mind that the healing substances in dried fruits are contained in a higher concentration, so they should be consumed in moderation. Secondly, they should be washed very thoroughly before being eaten, as they are often treated with sulfur and other chemicals during industrial drying. Thirdly, for better absorption, dry fruits almost always need to be soaked in warm, but not hot water and then chewed thoroughly.. Dried fruit compote should not be boiled for a long time and sugar should not be added to it – in this case, the natural taste of fruits may disappear. Therefore, it is better to put a little honey in the finished compote.

Now let’s talk about the benefits these sweet dry fruits bring not only to the body, but also to the appearance. And it is no coincidence that we touched on this topic, because whether it is the face, hair or neck, they equally have a beneficial effect, preventing hair loss and giving beautiful color and elasticity to your skin.

So, dried fig fruits strengthen hair in the first place. But to achieve the desired effect, a fig mask must be done daily for a month.

Grind with a knife or in a meat grinder 2-3 dry figs. Pour 1 cup of milk into a separate enameled bowl, put the figs into the milk, mix everything thoroughly and put on fire, closing the lid. When the mixture boils, reduce the heat to a minimum and bring the composition at a low boil until a homogeneous mass (slurry) is formed. Then cool the mixture. Before washing your hair, divide your hair into strands and apply the resulting slurry to the roots, and distribute the rest of it along the entire length of the hair. Tie your head with plastic wrap, and on top with a terry towel or woolen scarf. After an hour, wash your hair with a mild shampoo for your hair type.

Or another option (raisin mask), which will also effectively help with hair loss. To do this, take a handful of raisins (preferably light). Put in an enamel bowl and pour 0.5 liters of boiling water. Close the lid tightly and cook for 10-15 minutes on low heat, then let it brew for 2 hours to swell the raisins. Then strain the decoction into a separate bowl – the liquid is useful for making a mask. Wipe the raisins to make a gruel, and put in a ceramic dish; add 1 yolk, 1 tsp. liquid honey, 1 tsp. any vegetable oil, 1/2 tsp. salt (dissolve salt in a decoction of raisins). Mix everything thoroughly.

If the mixture becomes very thick, add a little broth and stir. Before washing your hair, follow the same procedure as in the first recipe. Only after 40-50 minutes, wash your hair with a mild shampoo for your hair type, and then rinse with acidified water (1 tsp of citric acid in a basin of water). It is desirable to do such a mask once a week for 1.5 months.

Dried fruits are extraordinarily rich in so-called beauty vitamins. Masks of dried apricots, raisins, prunes give a wonderful and quick effect. The skin becomes beautiful, smooth, elastic, acquires a beautiful shade and looks younger right before our eyes.
