This vegetable has been known to people since ancient times. They believed that cabbage maintains vigor and a calm mood. Therefore, thanks to her, people could do without drugs for a long time. In general, this vegetable was considered and is still considered a deliverer from many human ailments. So, earlier cabbage was used for heart diseases, peptic ulcers, but the juice from it was considered useful for hemorrhoids, respiratory diseases, liver, burns, eczema, diathesis.

Almost everything is used as a medicinal raw material for this unique vegetable: from the leaves to the stem (stalk) – you can easily verify this later. If you look at the presence of nutrients, then the composition, for example, of the leaves includes fats, sugars, fiber, water. Cabbage contains the entire set of vitamins A, B, C and others necessary for a person – moreover vitamin C is especially abundant in late-ripening varieties, even more than in tangerines and lemons– and more, carotene, folic acid, salts of potassium, calcium, phosphorus.

Fresh cabbage juice is also recommended for gastritis (especially with low acidity), cholecystitis, diabetes, kidney and urinary tract diseases.

But not everyone can eat cabbage. So, if you have peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, pancreatitis and other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, you should not eat cabbage, but not its juice. It is not recommended to use cabbage after surgical operations on the abdominal cavity and chest and after a heart attack.

When treating cabbage, you need to know some features in proportionbecause they are different for different diseases. So, when coughing, drink the juice of fresh cabbage for 1 tsp. several times a day. And if you dilute cabbage juice with warm water, it will be an excellent rinse for inflammation of the throat and mouth. 0.5 cup 3 times a day, warm before meals for 3-4 weeks, it is good to take juice for gastric and duodenal ulcers. To increase the acidity of gastric juice, it is recommended to drink fresh juice with honey (1:1), starting with 0.5 cup 3 times a day before meals in a warm form for 3-4 weeks.

Excellent help in the treatment and leaves of fresh cabbage. Crushed into a pulp and mixed with egg white, the leaves are used for burns, ulcers and festering wounds. Leaves boiled in milk mixed with bran are applied to the affected areas of the skin with weeping eczema. Even with cancer, cabbage can help if you make a tincture from its root. To do this, wash the root of one large head of cabbage, grind it and, after drying, grind it into powder and sift. Then 3 tbsp. l. powder pour 0.5 l of dry red wine, insist in a dark cool place for 14 days, periodically shaking the contents. It should be taken 30 ml 2 times a day, morning and evening. After 10 days of use, take a 10-day break. Adjust yourself to the fact that the procedure of such treatment is long.
