The unpleasant disease of hemorrhoids is, contrary to popular anecdotes, the property of not only elderly accountants. They need to lead a sedentary lifestyle for decades to get hemorrhoids. Much faster – literally in one day – young quite athletic women earn hemorrhoids. This happens during childbirth, or rather the long contractions preceding them. When a woman in labor pushes out the baby, not only the muscles of her uterus and vagina tense up, but also the muscles of the large intestine along with them. And as a result, very young women acquire this most unpleasant diagnosis.

According to statistics, in nulliparous women, hemorrhoids are 5 times less common than in women who have given birth at least once. At the same time, the age criterion also plays an important role: during pregnancy at 30 years of age, the disease occurs 3 times more often than during pregnancy at 20 years of age.

You need to start fighting hemorrhoids immediately, without leaving this matter for later, when you return from the hospital, when there is less trouble with the baby, etc. While still collecting a bag for the maternity hospital, put a tube of any protivohemmoroidal ointment there (purchased in pharmacies). Start using immediately after childbirth every day, observing the intervals indicated in the instructions.

There are many folk recipes for the treatment of hemorrhoids.. Most of them consist in the frequent and abundant use of various compounds. But a nursing mother has her own priorities. It is well known that the list of substances that can be transmitted through milk to a child and harm him (from diathesis to trivial intestinal colic) is very extensive. So that for nursing mothers, there are not many ways to restore their health without damaging the baby – this is special gymnastics, baths and candles.

To return the veins to their original state, you will have to find time and energy for regular gymnastics and even yoga.. By the way, these exercises will help you restore the tone of the uterus and vagina after childbirth, as well as the muscles of the buttocks and abdominals. These tasks should also not be put off until later: since the stretched skin and atrophied muscles will very quickly “get used” to their relaxed state and then it will be possible to return them to their place only at the cost of much more hard training or even surgically. So, as they say: we combine the useful with the beautiful.

According to experts, the greatest effect in the prevention and treatment of hemorrhoids is given by swimming, cycling, rowing. The only pity is that all this is hardly available to a young mother in time. Therefore, we will look for exercises suitable for home use. Here is a set of exercises that you need to do 1-2 times a day, preferably after sleep and before bed.

  1. Sit on a stool, bend your knees and cross the sweat with a chair. Squeeze your buttocks a maximum of 15-20 times in a row.

  2. Squeeze your buttocks while lying on your side on a flat, straight surface 10-20 times in a row.

  3. Do a “birch” (shoulderstand) for 1-3 minutes, alternately stretching and bending your knees. Try to lower your bent knees as low as possible to your head.

And now some yoga.

  1. Lie on your back and lift one leg at a 45 degree angle. Then alternately slowly raise and lower one leg without touching the floor with it.

  2. Lie on the floor with your arms extended along your body. Raise your arms up and, stretching forward, tear your torso off the floor and leave it at a 45-degree angle. As soon as you feel tension in the abdominal muscles, slowly raise your legs alternately to an angle of 45 degrees. Repeat 3-4 times.

  3. Lie on your back with your arms outstretched and palms on the floor. Then slowly raise your joined legs at a 45 degree angle to the floor. Stay in this position for a while. Then slowly tilt your bent legs to the left and right, touching the floor with them. Then return your legs to a vertical position and slowly lower to the floor. Repeat 1-2 times.

And also remember:

  1. Refrain for some time (the longer the better) from lifting weights, and in general from doing heavy physical work. Stand less on your feet, and if you still have to (for example, in transport), squeeze your buttocks from time to time.

  2. Try not to speak loudly or laugh. Well, and if you really need it, sit down before that on the edge of a hard stool.

  3. For some time, wash the anus only with cold water. It will be unpleasant only the first week, and then you get used to it.

  4. Take warm (not hot!) sitz baths daily for 5-7 minutes for 10-12 days. To enhance the effect, you can add decoctions of chamomile, oak bark, horsetail, flaxseed, strawberry leaves to the water.

  5. Periodically (and preferably daily after childbirth) make candles from raw potatoes 5-7 cm long and 3-4 cm in diameter and insert at night. This is one of the oldest, proven, effective and affordable means of getting rid of hemorrhoids.

  6. Avoid constipation, by the way, it is harmful for the child.

If for some reason you are not breastfeeding, you can take such formulations.

Pour a glass of cold boiled water with two teaspoons of thoroughly washed and chopped dandelion root. Leave to infuse for 8 hours. Drink a quarter cup 4 times a day before meals.

Pour a glass of boiling water 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chopped St. John’s wort, boil on low heat for half an hour, strain the hot broth and drink a quarter cup 3 times a day.

Three times a day, take a quarter cup of rowan juice with added sugar, washed down with a glass of water.
