Which of the stars abandoned Botox in favor of face fitness and facial massage

Which celebrity does facial massage

This procedure has only one goal – to relieve tension in the areas that need it. And believe me, there are plenty of them. The habit of grimacing, frowning, squinting, working with clenched jaws (often involuntarily) results at a certain age in creases and deep wrinkles. Just one fact: the chewing muscle can put pressure on the molars with a force of up to 90 kilograms. Hypertonicity of the skin contributes to the formation of eyebrows, nasolabial folds and more.

Facial massage is now more popular than ever. The procedure can be done not only in cosmetology clinics – even in shopping centers there are offices, from where in half an hour there is a chance to fly out rested and with a blush on your cheeks. It is important to find your master, do the procedures regularly and remember about contraindications. If your skin is prone to rashes, rosacea, then massage can do harm.

Among celebrities, there are many who have mastered the movements along the massage lines on their own. Many use special gadgets: rose quartz rollers, gouache scrapers. Vera Brezhneva, Natalia Vodianova, Ekaterina Andreeva, Karlie Kloss, Jessica Alba, Miranda Kerr, Emily Ratajkowski and many others have them in their cosmetic bags.

Consult with a beautician

Supermodel Natalya Vodianova said that she used to trust facial massage only to professionals. And only recently I got carried away with the methodology of my friend and godfather, who launched a whole face fitness course. She advises actively kneading the skin with your hands, not being afraid to pull your hair – all this helps to improve blood circulation. Vodianova is against Botox and believes that such techniques definitely allow you to delay its use.

In general, finding a massage technique to awaken or relieve tension in certain areas will not be a problem. But first, it is better to visit a beautician who will assess the condition of your skin and determine what can help you. For example, in some cases, a specialist will say that massage will be ineffective or even harmful!

Expert commentary: what tasks does massage solve

First, let’s figure out what is the difference between face fitness and massage. Some are confused. These methods complement each other.

The muscles on the face differ in structure, they are thinner, flatter and attached in a completely different way than the muscles on the body. It is impossible to pump up muscles on the face! And the goal of gymnastics (face fitness) is NOT to pump up muscles, but to relax those that are in hypertonicity (clamped). Activate the muscles that are in hypotonicity (inactive and little involved in facial expressions, for example, cheek muscles that form cheeks).

One of the reasons for the formation of wrinkles and various creases is muscle hypertonicity (tightness, inability to independently return to normal tone). And the reason for the appearance of jowls, the second chin, the overhanging of the upper eyelid, the drooping of the cheekbones is precisely in the hypotonic muscles, which are relaxed and inactive. ⠀ Gymnastics for the face relieves hypertonicity and tones muscles that are in hypotonicity: here you have smoothing wrinkles and lifting tissues. ⠀ Massage is not only a pleasant procedure, but also an effective tool in the fight for beauty and youth. ⠀ Self-massage:

  • relaxes muscles

  • relieves hypertonicity

  • restores muscle tone

  • improves blood circulation

  • accelerates lymph flow, removes swelling

  • starts the process of cell regeneration.

Massage techniques

There are a huge number of them: sculptural-buccal; vacuum jar; spoon; gouache; lymphatic drainage: myofascial; sculpting; copyright techniques.

It’s better to do it comprehensively and it’s great if your beautician gives several exercises, massage techniques or kinesio tape applications to improve and maintain the result until the next meeting. In order to prolong the effect and achieve a lasting result, regular effects on the muscles are needed, because we constantly experience emotions, put a load on the face and body, which can cause swelling, creases and wrinkles on the face.

With regular massage, swelling disappears, the quality of the skin improves, it becomes more toned, fine wrinkles are smoothed out, eyebrows and cheekbones are lifted, the oval of the face is outlined, ptosis of the eyelids, wrinkles on the forehead disappear.

How often should you have a facial massage?

If you give general recommendations that will suit everyone, then at least every other day, that is, 3-4 times a week, let your muscles rest the next day, on this day it will be great to do some exercises or even better kinesiotape applications.

In principle, according to my methodology, I recommend combining gymnastics for the face, neck and décolleté, self-massages (vacuum, myofascial, buccal, guasha) and aesthetic kinesio taping. Thus, it is possible to achieve the effect of Botox and lifting without injections.
